Wallen's Expresso

Wallen's Expresso, (aka Mocha) is an exceptional mare and we are very honored to own her. She is a first premium mare and was Grand Champion of BC at the Oldenburg inspection. Mocha also received top honors in the Canadian Sport Horse Inspection and received a 93.5 which puts her highest scored mare in Canada. She is athletic, smart and beautiful and would excel in any job you gave her. She has produced four offspring. The first is Ratu, top three pictures on the right, who won the Lt. Governor's Cup as a three year old. Ratu is by Rubignon, (see Sires). Mocha third was a beautiful filly by Donnerschlag in 2007 who won top honours at the Oldenburg inspection. Mocha fourth (2008)is an exquisite Cabardino filly who will excel in the hunter/jumper ring. (see sales)

WHAT A STUNNING AND VERY EXCITING FILLY THIS IS. At her July 31st Inspection she wowed the crowd and the judges with her exceptional type and conformation and tremendous movement. She finished the day with top honors of Champion filly. She just demands your attention from the moment you lay eyes on her. She stems from the most incredible Mare we have seen. SPS Dorena by Davignon/Pik Koenig scored an incredible 8.83 overall at her Performance Test. ALL 9's except for one 8. How many mares have walked away with such an unbelievable set of scores?? Only a handful in all of the world. She is truly at the top of her Class. She does come by it honestly stemming from one of Germany's best Mare Families producing an incredible amount of top Licensed stallions, State Premium mares and International dressage horses. Then, as if that weren't enough for her, she went on to produced the best Hanoverian mare in all of the U.S.. A filly by Wolkenstein II who has gone on to win the Dr. Walter Hartwig Award which is given to the top overall scoring Hanoverian mare in all of the U.S.. Wow!! MARCH 2006 FILLY. Once again Wallens Expresso(Mocha) has produced a superior foal! This filly embodies everything any performance horse breeder could wish for. She is perfectly put together with great bone and a lovely feminine head. She has a graceful way about her and it comes through every time she moves. Her movement gets even better as she gets older. This colt is the best yet that has arrived in 2009. He has his Daddy's athleticism and his Mothers good looks. We are pleased to announce the arrival of Kosmo at Grouse Nest Farm. Proud owner of Cathy Sansom. The mare Cosmopolian (aka Lucy)has a half brother that has competed in more then one Olympics in Eventing, his name is Livingstone. Lucy also has another half brother that is a standing stud in Ontario that won over $600,000 racing. She comes from a very athletic family. Kupido K was imported from Holland in December 2006. This outstanding stallion has phenomenal jumping talent, wonderful temperament and exceptional bloodlines. Kupido has competed in Spain, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, England and Germany. He has won 6 CSI*** and CSI**** Grand Prixs, including Maastrtricht- Holland, Norten – Hardenburg- Holland, Eindhoven - Holland, Geesteren-Germany, Asona-Switzerland. Kupido continues to compete successfully from the Pacific Northwest to California. His offspring in the United States and Europe compete very successfully in Grand Prix jumping and Prix St. George level dressage. The spunk of new life is what Kosmo is all about. Ratu who was Champion Colt and overall Champion Foal at the Canadian Warmblood Inspection as a weanling. He then went on to win Reserve Champion in the Futurity Colts as a yearling. He is a stunning individual and will always be a eye catcher. He is by Rubignon (Rubinstein-Donnerhall) out of our Champion mare Wallen's Expresso. Ratu is now on his way to becoming a quality stallion.
